Gay Marriage Stamp by FireStump Gay Marriage Stamp by FireStump
I'm probably going to get some hate for this one but you know what? I don't care. I'm not a lesbian nor do I have any lesbian or homosexual friends or family members so don't say I am automatically biased.

I don't get the whole hype and hullabaloo about all of the gay marriage shit going on in the world lately. WHO CARES?! If you don't like it, lump it because YOU aren't the one getting married to the same sex, they are, so get your noses out of their business because it doesn't concern nor hurt you.

K I'm done.

You may use this without my permission.

Because people keep making it one. I'm neutral towards the whole thing, but I do think there are more important things to be concerned about.

mainly because denial of the rights of something so simple is proof we can't move forward

really, the main reason it's still such a big deal is because we've got conservatives arguing left & right
"blah, blah, blah, traditional marriage, blah, blah, blah, family values"
basically the rehashed version against interracial/black marriage

Perhaps you need to ask a homosexual as they do care about this issue deeply... personally I think marriage as a concept is bull, if you love someone and they love you back unconditionally, then that's fine.

One of my good friends is a homosexual and he doesn't understand the whole problem either. Trust me, I've asked.

There's nothing wrong in being gay, but aren't there bigger issues about denial of rights?

Ugh, exactly! We seriously have bigger issues to worry about. They love to distract us with this whole issue which is essentially a legal argument more than a social one.

I know. I'm Pan, but it honestly makes me hate the idea when there are idiots trying to shove it down my throat all the time, I just get so sick of hearing it. It's like they're trying to get me to swallow a giant bag of sugar. I don't believe anyone should be punished for not supporting gay rights, and people who are supporting do not then have the right to go and punish them for it. They don't deserve to be punished. If my friend was anti-gay, I wouldn't hate her anymore, nor would I hurt her for it.

Personally, I think the real question here should be: "Why is marriage in general such a big deal?" It is a complete joke to be fighting for it whether it be for equality or preserving the sanctity of it.
